Short bio:

Isabelle Ryl has been appointed Acting Deputy CEO for Transfer and Industrial Partnership on March 1st 2018.

 

A university professor, with a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Lille 1 (1998) and qualified to supervise research (2006), Isabelle Ryl completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Oslo before joining the University of Lille as a Researcher Lecturer from 1999 to 2010. Her research mainly focuses on the verification of security properties for ubiquitous systems, secure optimizations for small embedded systems or sensor networks. She is also a former auditor of the Institut des Hautes Etudes de Défense Nationale (IHEDN).

 

Isabelle Ryl has been director of the Inria de Paris Research Centre in Paris since 2010 and is particularly involved in the Parisian ecosystem with the centre's academic partners, Agoranov and Cap Digital (of which she is vice-president).

 

For Isabelle Ryl,"the digital transformation is now reaching all sectors of society and the economic world, giving its full meaning to Inria's technology transfer mission. Economic or societal issues around artificial intelligence or blockchain technologies are all subjects on which relations with the economic world can be developed: nowadays it is difficult to conceive breakthrough innovation without a reliance on fundamental research  ".
