Short bio:
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ina Schieferdecker is Director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Open Communication Systems (FOKUS), Professor for Quality Engineering of Open Distributed Systems at the Technische Universität Berlin (TUB) and founding Director of the Weizenbaum Institute for the Networked Society, the German Internet Institute and member of the German Advisory Council on Global Change (WBGU). She received her Diploma in Mathematical Computer Science and the PhD in Engineering.
She is working on digital technologies and considers the coevolution of digital revolution and the transformation towards sustainability.
Her research interests include smart cities, urban data platforms and open data, critical infrastructures and resilience, digital networking and trustworthiness.
